Sony Music Latin partners with Luis R. Conriquez's K Music to push Musica Mexicana
The alliance covers artist development, distribution, and the international expansion of K Music's roster.

Sony Music Latin has formed an alliance with K Music, the label founded by corridos star Luis R. Conriquez, in a move the companies frame as a bet on the global growth of Musica Mexicana. The partnership covers artist development, distribution, and the international expansion of K Music's roster.
“K Music was founded with the goal of elevating Mexican music and discovering the next generations of artists, providing them with the infrastructure to build careers that transcend borders,” Becerra said in the announcement. The deal follows a string of major-label moves into the genre and gives independent Mexican labels another template: keep the culture, rent the plumbing.
